about

The fifth release from label HERETIC comes from Sheffield-based trio Denham Audio. Having contributed a remix to the label’s previous release from producer Circo, and following up from an incredible EP on Ejeca’s Exploris imprint, Denham Audio deliver the goods once again. The ‘Fractal’ EP has already gained support from the likes of Addison Groove, Simo Cell & Sly One to name a few. Consisting of 3 original tracks and two remixes from Silas & Snare and Cloaka ft. Boxwork.

‘Undulate’ opens up proceedings, a powerful bassline ebbs and flows around a broken tribal beat. Subtle nods to techno and UK bass throughout add to the addictiveness of the track.

Next up title track ‘Fractal’ delves deeper, eerie atmospherics gather around the warm bass, whilst crunchy claps entice listeners’ to nod along.

‘Phalanx’ see’s the trio leaning further into Techno territory. From start to finish the tracks pounding kick drum shows that Denham Audio can deliver on all fronts.

Remixes come from Silas & Snare and Cloaka ft. Boxwork. ‘Undulate’ get’s toughened up by Silas & Snare, re-enforcing the bassline in order to destroy dancefloors. Finally, label boss Cloaka remixes ‘Fractal’ with some help from long-time collaborator Boxwork, twisting the track into a break-beat filled affair.
